The Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration (Print ISSN 1584-7284;  Online ISSN 2602-0351) is the referred journal of the Romanian Society of Acoustics (SRA).

Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration  includes referred articles, technical notes, letters-to-the-editor, book reviews, a calendar, and announcements of general interest to readers.

Articles may be theoretical or experimental in nature. But those which combine theoretical and experimental approaches to solve acoustic and vibration problems are particularly welcome. Technical notes (or brief contributions), letters-to-the-editor, and announcements may also be submitted. Articles must not have been previously published in other engineering or scientific journals. Articles in the following (or related areas) are particularly encouraged: active noise control, active vibration control, aero acoustics, architectural acoustics, boundary element and finite element methods, condition monitoring and diagnostics, passive and active damping, environmental noise, human response to sound and vibration, inverse methods, low frequency noise and vibration, machinery noise and vibration control, materials for noise and vibration control, measurement techniques, mechanisms of human hearing, modal analysis, musical acoustics, noise control elements, non-destructive testing, non-linear acoustics and vibration, numerical methods, occupational noise exposure and control, outdoor sound propagation, scattering of sound, signal processing, sound intensity, sound sources, sound transmission, energy statistical analysis, structural acoustics and vibration, structural intensity, transportation vibration and noise, underwater acoustics, vibration and shock, vibration sources, and wavelet analysis.

The journal is a biannual periodical.

Each submitted paper is reviewed by two referees. A paper must have two favorable reviews in order to be published. The editorial board includes professors from various Romanian universities, some of them belonging to the Romanian Academy, the Technical Science Academy in Romania, and as well as professors from foreign universities.

In December 2010, the “Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration” received the accreditation by the National University Research Council (CNCSIS), class B+ and from 2017 indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index from Clarivate Analytics.
